Mosasaur is an extinct group of aquatic lizards from the Cretaceous period. The largest Mosasaur based on fossils, has been estimated to be 17 metres in length. They are believed to have had a snakelike body with a large skull and long snout. their limbs were adapted into paddles allowing them to be incredibly strong swimmers and predators. Due to this, there were easily at the top of the marine food chain. The other fragments within the matrix are fossilized fish vertebrae that is generally unearthed in the same matrix.
